My name’s Graziano. You can pronounce it “grutsi-arno” :)
I’m an award-winning commercial photographer. I’m a Hobart native, born to Italian immigrants. Since I picked up my first camera nearly 20 years ago I’ve worked hard to learn and become fluent in the art of photography to produce striking images of people and the spaces they inhabit.
My passion for creating images was ignited by exploring the wild landscapes of Tasmania and global cityscapes abroad. I love revealing the essence of a place though photography; from the symmetry of a London subway, to an Italian sky reflected in cobblestone. My international travels, combined with a passion for composition, have helped shape my imagery and vision with a stand-out contemporary aesthetic.
In 2013, I turned my part-time passion into a full-time photography gig when my unique perspective awarded me first place in the Wrest Point Art Award for a moody representation of the Hobart’s rivulet with an image titled Hobart Underground. I then developed my skills through portrait work and weddings while taking on the role of head photographer at an established, local real estate agency.
As a former restaurateur and having helped ignite many different businesses, I understand the power of photography in developing your brand and sharing the ethos of your business. From textural interiors to candid portraits, I will illustrate the nature of your corporate or creative personality.
My portfolio showcases Tasmania’s urban fabric through commercial clients such as Pancho Villa, Urban Greek, and Aloft restaurants. I’ve also worked with large-scale organisations including Australia Post, GoTransit Media, VOS Construction and Hobart City Council. My work has been sourced for national publication across GQ Magazine, InStyle Magazine, Gourmet Traveller, Australia Post Magazine and more.
