Music Production & DJ Mixes

The tracks below were performed and recorded live using all hardware gear. A laptop was used at the end of the process of making the songs to record the live performance. No mixing or editing has been done to the tracks.
These are one-off recordings, captured live, never to be re-recorded. The pieces of each track are in seperate gear and compiling them together again won’t happen as I’m horrible at house keeping of files etc. Some tracks took many takes to get right, some were off the cuff recordings in the midst of a jam. I enjoy this element of making music or jamming with hardware as it makes the music fleeting and it teaches you to appreciate the experience rather than fixate on the final product. My favourite diddley’s are compiled below as a place to show off my creations as well as a place for me to access them.

Gear used:
ROLAND MC101
ROLAND MX1
ROLAND MC707
ROLAND TR8

Revisiting Trance

When I started djing in the late 90’s it was trance music and it was vinyl. I’m grateful to have experienced the days of waiting for new releases to hit the stores, waiting with all that anticipation of the new records to drop. Some of those songs I still listen to. Here’s a mix of songs I used to love from that genre.

That Classic Piano House Set

A mix of some goooood vocal laden, piano heavy house tunes.
